Borterra Drilling Division is dedicated to the development of customized drilling technologies. The division acts as an integrator and OEM that operates on a project basis. The drills are customized according to customer requirements and local conditions. Borterra helps clients solve specific problems by developing a prototype and eventually implementing it. The key criteria for the drilling equipment are that the machinery must be low on energy consumption with high power output, drill deeper with minimal impact on the surrounding ground, reduce environmental impact and minimize hole deviation.

 RodBot, a hands free hydraulic robotic pipe handler designed specifically for loading and unloading drill rods and casing. It has applications in mining, construction, and the oil & gas industry. The RodBot™ pipe arm can be adapted to work on virtually any existing piece of drilling equipment. Rod handling is one of the leading causes of an on-the-job injury. Rod handlers can be mounted on the drill or on a pipe truck or trailer with its own independent power source.

Center Rock Inc.

Center Rock Inc. proudly serves the construction, foundation rock drilling, oil and gas, water well and blast hole, mining and quarry, geothermal and utility industries. Center Rock manufacturers a full line of air rock drilling tools and accessories including Down-the-Hole (DTH) hammers and bits from 3.5” – 48” (89-1219mm) diameter, casing advancing overburden drilling systems, and are a leading global manufacturer/supplier of the CRI LP Canister Drills using Direct Circulation w/Calyx or Reverse Circulation serving the construction, mining, HDD and utility markets.

Canister Drills: Construction/utility/horizontal drilling can be a challenge and the Low Profile (LP) Drill series from Center Rock is up to the task. The advanced engineering of the drills provides a cost-effective solution for rock drilling requirements up to 144” (3657.6 mm) in diameter.  Our drills have been used by some of the nation’s largest building, roadway, and mining contractors to quickly drill holes to exact size required by their specifications.

ROTO LOC® is an overburden rock drilling system for casing advancement, developed by Center Rock.  With wings that lock in place and are easily retractable, ROTO LOC® is able to drill straight, full diameter holes through any formation, including pinnacle limestone and karst.  ROTO LOC® saves you money because there isn’t any expensive starter casing J-teeth or ring bits needed.

DTH Hammers and Bits ranging from 3.5” – 48” (89-1219mm) which are designed for peak performance in all rock drilling applications including but not limited to; foundation & geotechnical drilling, blast-hole drilling in quarries & mines, waterwell & geothermal boreholes, oil & gas underbalanced drilling, horizontal directional drilling, and utility transmission & distribution rock sockets.

We are proud to offer our customers a Single Source Solution.  We will accommodate any facet of your custom project including engineering, coatings/linings, electrical, fabrication, and cladding.  Our 60,000 ft2 shop located on 7.5 acres is conveniently located adjacent to vital North American shipping routes (Hwy 400 & Hwy 11 intersection).

We have the exclusive ability to Clad Seamless Pipes, Bends, Tee’s Reducers using our ULTRACLAD™ Technology. We achieve the desired HRC specifications for the oil sands in a single pass.  This provides the wear results that your industry demands while keeping the cost as low as 20% less than conventional methods. ULTRACLAD™ certification: Under ASME we fabricate and clad inside of pressure pipe systems and pressure vessels. Custom Metal Fabrication: Structural, plate fabrication in aluminum stainless materials including all manufacturing services including but not limited to Rolling, Forming, HD Plasma.

Custom Machining: CNC Turning and Boring centers along with conventional Turing, boring and drilling machines. We have several 20 ton overhead cranes in our shop as well as 2, 5 & 10 ton cranes.

Wassara

Archer Mining & Civil Services Inc. is an exclusive distributor for Wassara water-powered hammers which can be used in many ground engineering drilling applications – for drilling in sensitive areas, as well as for drilling long straight holes.

The water-powered DTH hammer is capable of penetrating any formation such as; hard rock, boulders, concrete, limestone, granite, till, water-rich formations and dense clay while maintaining speed and straightness. Also, available through Archer Mining & Civil Services Inc. are jet grouting hammers for single pass grouting, meaning you drill down and as you pull the hammer out of the hole you can grout your hole using the same DTH hammer. No need for two separate operations of the drilling & grouting functions.
